OFT10-102 - Domestic Oil Firing Servicing & Commissioning of Vaporising Appliances

Duration:
2 days
Category:
Oil

Information

OFTEC's renowned UKAS accredited registration schemes enables technicians to show their commitment to completing work that meets regional building regulations and industry best practice.

This course is for technicians who wish to service and commission vaporising appliances, such as many traditional range cookers and room-heaters. The course covers the same areas as the OFT10-101, but is for vaporising rather than pressure-jet appliances.

There are two options for this course - a dry course (OFT10-102D) covering appliances (such as cookers) which are not connected to a central heating system, and a wet (OFT10-102W) course covering appliances which include boilers.

Areas covered:

  • Health and safety
  • Fire valve installation
  • Regional requirements
  • Safe electrical isolation
  • OFTEC procedures
  • Liquid fuel storage and supply
  • Appliance installation
  • Heating systems
