The Accredited Certification Scheme for Individual Gas Fitting Operatives (ACS) is the industry recognised route for engineers to gain a certificate of competence, which is needed to become a member of the Gas Safe Register. Only members of the Gas Safe Register can work with gas in the UK.
You need to achieve your ACS certificate(s) in the areas of work in which you want to be registered.
WATLP2 certification is designed to assess the competence of a gas engineer to install, exchange, disconnect, services, repair, breakdown and commission liquefied petroleum gas water heating appliances in motorised and touring caravans.

Learners will need to hold a valid:
- Core Domestic LPG Safety (CCLP1) certificate; or
- Changeover: Natural Gas to LPG for Leisure Accommodation Vehicles (CoNGLP1-LAV)
Details
You will need to bring with you:
- Your name and address
- Your National Insurance number
- A passport-sized photograph
- Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of work experience
- A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
- First-time applicants will also be required to provide an acceptable form of photographic identification e.g. a passport or driving licence
