The EAL Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems is a Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ) developed to enable the building services engineering sector to play its role in meeting the carbon reduction targets set by Government.

This qualification comprises of knowledge/understanding and performance units, which between them cover the skills, knowledge and understanding required in the installation of small scale SPV systems, e.g. dwelling installations.

Entry requirements

Learners must be a fully qualified electrician with a minimum of NVQ Level 3.

• Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of work experience
• A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
