CoCCLNG1 - Changeover: Core Domestic to Core Commercial Laundry Gas Safety

Information

The Accredited Certification Scheme for Individual Gas Fitting Operatives (ACS) is the industry recognised route for engineers to gain a certificate of competence, which is needed to become a member of the Gas Safe Register. Only members of the Gas Safe Register can work with gas in the UK.

You need to achieve your ACS certificate(s) in the areas of work in which you want to be registered.

The CoCCLNG1 course will allow you to convert your Domestic Gas Safety to Core Commercial Gas Safety. Once completed you will be eligible to complete commercial appliance assessments.

Areas covered:

• Gas safety regulations and other relevant legislation
• Combustion
• Ventilation
• Flueing
• Gas pipework
• Let-by, strength & tightness testing
• Purging
• Re-establishing appliance gas supplies
• Gas rates & pressures
• Gas controls
• Emergency actions and valves
• Unsafe situations
• Differences between domestic and commercial installations

Entry requirements

Learners will need to hold a valid:

• Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) certificate (including CPA1); or
• Core Domestic LPG Safety (CCLP1) certificate; or
• Equivalent NVQ or QCF qualification

You will need to bring with you:

• Your name and address
• Your National Insurance number
• A passport-sized photograph
• Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of work experience
• A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
• First-time applicants will also be required to provide an acceptable form of photographic identification e.g. a passport or driving licence
