Information
This course is designed for installers who need to meet the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
It will enable them to undertake safe isolation of electrical equipment and provide the competence required to prevent danger and injury.
The certificate will not lead to any qualification but will provide a full understanding of the processes and the risks involved in failing to adopt these.

Entry requirements
Learners must:
- Have an NVQ/NVQ Level 3 in heating engineering, plumbing or electrical trades;
- Or be working towards a one of these qualifications; or
- Have a number of years’ experience of conventional heating engineering or plumbing and electrical installations

You will need to bring with you:
- Your name and address
- Your National Insurance number
- A passport-sized photograph
- Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of work experience
- A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
- First-time applicants will also be required to provide an acceptable form of photographic identification e.g. a passport or driving licence
