Our story
OEA opened its doors in Witney, Oxfordshire in 2011 to provide outstanding learning opportunities for people wanting to develop their energy industry skills and achieve qualifications.
Utilising several decades of industry and teaching experience, our Energy Academies provide Ofsted Good rated learning to everyone - from inexperienced beginners to qualified engineers.
Central to our approach is the idea that learning is more than just about imparting knowledge.
Working in the energy industry enables people to develop a sustainable, meaningful career. Because of this, we aspire to help students develop their confidence, independence and sense of social responsibility - as well as their practical skills and knowledge.
We also work closely with employers and industry organisations to reflect the evolving skills needs of the sector and contribute to the economic development of the communities we work in.
The way the world consumes energy is changing and there is an increasing need for skilled and qualified experts to help the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
Because of this, we began working with Reed Environment in 2023 to expand our offer further around the country - always keeping our mission in mind: to provide outstanding learning opportunities for students who come through our doors.
Rated Good by Ofsted in 2022
