Information

The Accredited Certification Scheme for Individual Gas Fitting Operatives (ACS) is the industry recognised route for engineers to gain a certificate of competence, which is needed to become a member of the Gas Safe Register. Only members of the Gas Safe Register can work with gas in the UK.

You need to achieve your ACS certificate(s) in the areas of work in which you want to be registered.

EFJLP1 certification is designed to assess the competence of a gas engineer to safely joint polyethylene pipework for low pressure installations. The course is for engineers with limited or no experience of manual welding processes, maintenance staff who install plastic fabrications, welding engineers unfamiliar with these processes and engineering apprentices.
