Information
The course is for anyone requiring an understanding of water regulations/water byelaws, in particular those wishing to become approved plumbers/contractors.
On completing the course, learners are encouraged to join an approved plumbers/contractors scheme, such as those managed by SNIPEF, APHC, CIPHE, WIAPS and the regional water utility companies. This will enable them to issue a certificate of completion to both the householder and water company for work they complete.
The course covers the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 (England and Wales) and meets the requirements of WRAS (the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme).
Entry requirements
Learners must have some knowledge of plumbing and the water industry

You will need to bring with you:
- Your name and address
- Your National Insurance number
- A passport-sized photograph
- Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of work experience
- A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
- First-time applicants will also be required to provide an acceptable form of photographic identification e.g. a passport or driving licence
